Melt Cosmetics

I generally try and follow and stay up to date with all the new makeup brands and which celebrity is wearing what, who's bringing out what and when etc. I have also been a keen follower of Lora Arellano before she became Rihanna's makeup artist on her Diamond World Tour.
And when it comes to her company she co owns with Dana Bomar...
Melt Cosmetics is by far my favourite, go-to lipstick. Their products are ultra-matte and long lasting. As well as the ultimate bonus of them being COMPLETELY cruelty free.
Perfect for girls and guys who like to rock a serious bold makeup look.
For some seriously annoying reason every time I upload this photo, it appears. But I am wearing my favourite Melt lipstick - Stupid Love. You can see how its actually meant to look over on my Instagram. You know the drill.

Last week I did my first ever video tutorial for cosmopolitan.com on a leopard print inspired makeup which could be worn on Halloween.

Below is a list of the products I used (not including products for the smokey eye I started with)

- Kryolan Supracolor palette in BLACK for the spots, nose and other black details, including corner of lips for ombre effect.
- Mac liner in Nightmoth on lips
- Melt Cosmetics in By Starlight on lips

Boho wedding hair

I've just done the hair and makeup for a lovely bride who's wedding theme was boho/woodland wonderland! One of my favourites!

In one of my older posts I mentioned about using my GHD's to curl, this is generally if I am doing an up-do. If the client wants down and curly then I will use my trusty BaByliss Pro heated rollers. (Around £40-£45 on amazon.)
They leave such a nice effect of full and bouncy curls and in my experience last much longer curling with straightens or a wand. (I'VE JUST DECIDED TO DO A BLOG ON THIS LATER WOOO)
Again using my normal products to really set the curls I then twisted two bits from the front and pinned them back without loosing the curl. To finish off we used some flowers left over from her bouquet and pinned them into the pulled back sections.
Leave a comment for any further questions!

The last month has been a crazy one and I've been a bit non-stop so haven't had a chance to do any blogging.
But I'm back and just in time for Halloween to do some gory, special effects stuff for you, as well as looking at my favourites of the week and some lovely new skincare purchases.

Step by step pictorial

As promised I prepared a step by step of one of the first lip arts I created - A MINION!

Step 1.

Step 2.

Step 3.

Step 4.

Below is a throwback from the one I did a year ago..

It's all down to practice and using the right tools and products, as well as good lighting and camera angle.

I want to repost some recreations so if you do any, hashtag my name on Instagram so I can see!

Desio Eyes Review

I recently received my Desio Eyes contact lenses in 'Icy Blue!' I was quite sceptical about contacts as my eyes are quite dark and it's never seemed to work in the past. But I cannot fault these!

They come in a range of colours, I have my eyes on 'Forest Green' next. They are very lightweight and easy to use which means they are extremely comfortable to wear.
Perfect for a big night out or special occasion!

The design of them is really natural too. Other contacts I have tried in the past have looked too fake but with Desio you can't tell someone is wearing different colour contacts. They also do a men's range which is great!
(TIP - Pop a little bit of white eyeliner on your waterline too to really make the colour stand out!)
It's a big 10 out of 10 from me!
